How to color your hair naturally, without using chemicals?
Carrot or beet juice for red hair
A great way to add a temporary reddish colorto your strands, is bydying your hair with carrots or beets, without dealing with any nasty chemicals.
- Beet juice (can add carrot juice)
- Whipped coconut oil
Directions: You should mix the coconut oil and beet juice, and apply to head thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap. Leave it to stay for an hour, and then rinse, wash, and condition as normal.
Chamomile for golden blonde hair
- 8 tablespoons of chamomile
- 300ml of water
- lemon juice
Firstly, you should pour the hot water over the dried chamomile flowers. Heat it for 15 minutes. Then cool and filter. After that, add the lemon juice.
Apply the mixture onto the hair, comb it and let it dry. If you dry the hair in the sun, you will have better results. Then, wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo.
Walnut hulls for dark brown color
Crush the walnuts, and boil the hulls in a pot of water for at least half an hour. Allow the mixture to cool, and let your hair soak in the dye for up to 20 minutes. Be sure not to rub it into your scalp too much.
Onion peel for gray hair
You should add half a glass of onion peels into a full glass of boiling water. Leave it to stay for twenty minutes. Cover the glass to prevent the heat getting out.
Use gauze in order to separate the liquid from the peels. Add 2 tablespoons of glycerol to the liquid. Apply the mixture to your hair every day, until you reach the wanted result. Once you rub it into your hair, wash your hair as you normally would, and then let dry naturally.
